About Me

I was drawn to marketing and advertising for the opportunity to work with smart and creative people. But the greatest appeal was the opportunity to build powerhouse brands by planning and promoting spectacular events. For many years, I have done just that, working for some of the country’s largest companies, on both the client and agency sides, strategizing in the boardroom, leading teams carrying out multi-platform campaigns, and providing flawless full-service event planning in the field.

I led Susan G. Komen's "Komen On The Go" national mobile consumer education tour and most recently planned and executed hundreds of events as head of field marketing for Strategic Group in Connecticut. I am very hands-on and carefully manage all facets of every event. I work non-stop with one objective: producing exceptional results for my clients. I am open to full-time opportunities but also privately provide top-notch marketing consulting services to clients of any size.

My Approach

I have helped dozens of companies create and polish multimedia content for blogs, microsites, and social media, develop national advertising and field marketing campaigns, and execute large-scale events. How do I get results? By finding ways to actively reach out to new customers while crafting informative and useful online content that garners a strong consumer response. I work with clients to identify their specific goals and turn them into action plans that include: analysis of target audiences, a marketing plan with options tailored for specific markets, and brand messaging that is strong, clear, focused, and optimized to attract customers on on all platforms. I provide affordable and thoughtful services, helping clients understand the fast-changing marketplace, gain insight into consumer behavior, learn how to target the most desirable consumers, and position their events, products, and services for success.   • Led team to the top revenue position in the Northeast in 2017 by quadrupling staff, improving training, and solidifying relationships with vendors.
  • Execute and coordinate all branded consumer event activities.

  • Key accomplishments: Sold in many incremental activations created by myself and my team including: Stretch your Dough with Metro (tax season value offering), Cocoa and Cookie Mobile truck, Monster Jam "Mini Jam with Metro" - remote control monster truck rink with controls handled through your mobile device.

  • Managed national mobile event marketing program and execution plan for Susan G. Komen's "Komen On the Go" mobile tour. Supervised and executed the launch of the social and mobile integrations which tied social platforms with our experiential marketing program.
  • Delivered 87 events in calendar year with over 100,000 people directly touched and over 2 million reached through social media.
  • Led development of marketing umbrella strategy for the 2012-13 tour with expanded social media components and greater outreach to youth on college campuses.

Brand Manager, Multicultural - African American, Hispanic & General Market, July 2006 - July 2009

  • Integral part of team that developed social media platforms on Facebook and Twitter as well as the mobile campaigns involving geo-targeting and QR coding. Guided strategy and conceptual development of international, national and regional multicultural marketing programs focused on African-American and Latino consumers, generating over $3 billion in annual sales.
  • Presented African American strategy at board meetings, Global Planning Summits and spoke at diversity seminars on Subway’s outreach to multicultural audiences at West Point Academy.
  • Identified African American youth as a key marketing growth area and developed Subway’s first event marketing/grassroots effort, BET’s Summer Camp for Girls.

  • Promoted three times during my tenure. First adopter of new media for clients integrating a 360 campaign, utilizing TV, Radio, print and digital platforms. Managed administrative and organizational work of account management team of 10-15 people. Ensured that work was completed on time and on budget.
  • Designed and executed many high profile client events, including Golden Globes, Grammy's, Essence Music Festival, Calle Ocho, and Tom Joyner’s Fantastic Voyage and Family Reunion events.
  • Instrumental in the successful pitch to Burger King to create the “Kings of the Court” basketball tournament with the finals held during NBA’s All Star Game.
  • Worked on highly successful, award-winning campaigns for several key clients.
